Why do we need ethics & law in computing?

RESPECTING OWNERSHIP
We must respect ownership by not stealing other people’s work either by duplicating or distributing it. Duplicating and distributing copies of audio tapes, video tapes and computer programs without permission and authorization from the individual or company that created the program are immoral and illegal.
RESPECTING PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY
We should respect other people's privacy and confidentiality by refraining ourselves from reading their mails or files without their permission. If we do so, it is considered as violating an individual’s rights to privacy and confidentiality.
RESPECTING PROPERTY
Property here means ownership. Since an individual data and information are considered as property, therefore, an act of tampering and changing electronic information is considered as vandalism and disrespect for other people’s property.

no, based on the RA 10175 the country instituted criminal penalties for a variety of online acts, including spamming, identity theft and, most controversially, libel.

allot of people don't obey these rules on our present time because of the technology and computer, like downloading movies illegally, getting pictures/musics on the internet without permissions. That includes me. How am I not in jail yet?

Ohhh. So how about those things that is not registered to government agencies, how will they prevent or stop the people that stole their work. Can they file a lawsuit in the people who stole their work.. and if yes. How are they going to know who are those people?

The main point of those ethics is respect. Respect all the things that the users uses and respect the user itself so there will be no chaotic happenings. Lol

Ethics is morally upright for the/ a person, on what their community thinks of right and wrong. What if the community's norms or ethics is not aligned for the most people's norm and morality. How can you tell someone that they're wrong if a certain belief is right in his/her community living in but wrong in ours.

yes, nowadays, allot of people don't really care about the laws and ethics on computing. whoever has the power to massively advocate the laws and ethics to the world, should be done asap.
